“The farm faced significant challenges with shipping perishable products... a delayed or lost item meant a total loss.”

The Challenge

As White Oak Pastures’ eCommerce business grew nationwide, so did the complexity of shipping frozen, perishable goods. The farm faced rising expenses for dry ice, insulated packaging, and carrier inconsistencies that often led to delayed or spoiled shipments. Each lost order meant a total loss — product, packaging, and shipping costs combined — totaling over $20,000 per month in refunds and reshipments.

Before partnering with Shipinsure, every claim was handled manually — a time-consuming process that overextended the support team and strained profit margins. For a brand built on quality, sustainability, and trust, maintaining excellence at scale had become increasingly difficult.

The Approach

Notorious Lift’s goals were aimed at streamlining their operations and redirecting their team's efforts toward company expansion and product diversification, rather than spending endless hours personally communicating with every customer who submitted a claim. As a budding enterprise, they sought a cost-effective solution to optimize resources, save on expenses, and boost revenue.

“Prior to Shipinure, we handled claims on a case-by-case, manual basis, which involved rebuilding and re-shipping orders, leading to inefficiencies.”

The Solution

Shipinsure provided White Oak Pastures with a reliable and scalable shipping protection solution tailored for high-value, perishable products. By transferring the financial burden of lost or damaged shipments, the farm could maintain customer confidence without absorbing the full cost of reships or refunds.

The partnership also streamlined claim handling, reducing manual work for the support team and enabling faster resolutions for customers. With Shipinsure’s hands-on support, White Oak Pastures could protect its margins, improve efficiency, and deliver peace of mind to both its customers and internal teams.

Customers purchase this coverage with a clear purpose, and it’s reassuring to know they’re protected. Many who’ve had claims approved have gone on to order again with confidence.”

  • Fewer Tickets: The streamlined claims process reduced over 2,500 hours per year on claim-related tickets for White Oak Pastures support team.

“It’s a relief when we see shipping protection on an order — it saves us money and keeps our customers happy. Customers know that if something goes wrong, they’re protected, and that makes them more likely to order again.”
